TDEECalc is designed to keep your information private. The app does not require an account and does not sell personal information.
Your profile, calorie calculations, active plan, weight logs, weekly check-ins, widget snapshot, preferences, and local backups are stored locally in the app's sandbox or shared app-group container. Files containing body metrics, calorie targets, progress, or plan information are excluded from system cloud backup. TDEECalc does not transmit them to the developer or to an analytics service.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, TDEECalc may request read access to:
Weight and dietary energy may be used to calculate an observed TDEE estimate. TDEECalc does not request permission to write any data to Apple Health.
Apple Health access is optional and is requested only after you select “Connect Apple Health.” You control each permission in the Health app.
Raw Apple Health samples are processed on your device. They are not copied into TDEECalc backups, included in the Home Screen widget, sent to the developer, used for advertising or marketing, or shared with third parties.
An observed TDEE estimate or updated calorie target that you explicitly apply is stored with your active plan on your device. TDEECalc excludes its plan, progress, history, and local-backup files from system cloud backup.
Disconnecting Apple Health stops TDEECalc from reading Health data and clears imported samples from app memory. It does not change permissions managed by Apple; you can review or revoke those permissions in the Health app or iOS Settings.
You may voluntarily share a diagnostic report from Settings. The report contains only the app version, connection status, and counts of days for which relevant data is available. It does not contain weight, calorie, or other raw health values. The report is shared only through the destination you select in the iOS share sheet.
If you enable an optional weekly reminder, its schedule is stored on your device and delivered by iOS. TDEECalc does not send reminder information to a server.
Your information remains on your device until you delete entries or remove the app. Deleting or clearing calculation history can leave a safety copy in the app's rotating local-backup set, which retains no more than 20 backups on the same device. These backups are excluded from system cloud backup. Removing TDEECalc from the device removes its app data, subject to normal iOS behavior.
Apple Health data is controlled separately by Apple. Because TDEECalc has read-only access, it cannot add, change, or delete information in Apple Health.
TDEECalc does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, cookies, or cross-app tracking.
TDEE, calorie, macro, BMI, ideal-weight, and progress estimates are educational wellness information and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions or if you have health concerns.
Personalized calorie planning in TDEECalc is intended for adults aged 18 and older. TDEECalc does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
